05.07.09 - Forsooth, We Ride

...was recorded slowly over a few months at SUNY Oneonta with the brunt of it being put down in 2 caffeine-fueled marathon night sessions over the course of one weekend in March. A lot of what is on it was written on the spot, and there are a bunch of MG firsts on there (trombone and gang vocals to name a few). Forsooth, We Ride is in the final stages of production right now.

Tracks:
1. Cross-Check
2. Fate
3. WAHmburgers & French-Cries
4. Soap Box Derby
5. Not Punk Enough
6. Stone's Throw

The EP will be released for free online, and we're planning to do a small run of CDs that will be available for cheap.

4.06.09 - Sorry Dan...

...about letting our hosting expire. I wasn't on the ball, and thats bad.

There are some companies, ya know, that just wait for domain names to expire and buy them up before the previous owner has a chance to renew. Good to know that Goatska.com is once more safe from the cyberpirates.

10.04.08 - Feels like old times.

Band got back together this weekend, for the first time in a long time. Steve T's dog had left us a present in our practice room, but nobody was home to get it until today. I (Alex K.) got to have a real practice for the first time in 15 months. New songs are sounding real good, and we laid out plans to record an album length album this winter. Also, we have badass costume ideas for this year's Skaloween courtesy of Steve T's girlfriend. This is going to be damn fun.

5.19.08 - I first saw We Are The Union...

...at a forgettable show in 2006. It was (I believe) their first tour. They played forgettable music at a forgettable venue to a small crowd. Only 2 things stuck with me about WATU. In addition to seeming like really nice guys, it was apparent how hard-working they were.

One year and 2 weeks later, on our tour, MG played with WATU. Talent-wise, it wasn't even the same band anymore. I was impressed as hell. One of the WATU guys also gave me a burned copy of their new CD 'Who We Are'. Its a really professional blend of ska, skacore, and punk. I find myself with their songs stuck in my head nearly daily. I wont review 'Who We Are' because it is available for free download here, so you can judge for yourself. (You'll be doing yourself a big favor by getting it)

We Are The Union is no second rate band. If you haven't already started to hear about them, I guarantee that you will a lot in the next 2 years. They're playing with Magic Goat on May 27th. Check it out.
